We appointed Steve Rees from Activate Business Development to write a detailed marketing plan for The Big Trophy Shop in 2013 and have continued to use his marketing services ever since. Steve led the owners and management staff through a marketing audit and planning process that has helped us to identify and implement a winning marketing strategy for our business.  As a result we have recently invested in a laser-engraving machine, which has enabled us to increase our range of personalized products and differentiate ourselves from our competition.  Most importantly our online income through our new e-commerce website and eBay shop has trebled in the last year. He imported over 5,000 customer records from our accounts package, website and eBay database into the Activate CRM platform from which he sends targeted newsletters, surveys and postcards to specific groups of customers. Steve also writes blog articles for our website and manages our Social Media activity to help drive more traffic to our online sites.  He has also helped implement our sponsorship of Northampton Saints Rugby Club and local business awards nights. He analyses the annual performance of our Yell and Yellow pages adverts and has negotiated cost reductions for the last two years. Steve attends sponsored events such as the Global Sustainability Film Awards at BAFTA and Northants Business Awards on our behalf and represents The Big Trophy Shop as our Marketing and Communications Manager.  I would thoroughly recommend the marketing services provided by Steve and Activate Business Development
